#2-When will you give the sex talk to your child? Whenever they ask me for one.
#3-Before going to the beach while on vacation in Mexico, Would you layer your 13 year old with sunscreen or let them do it themselves even without your supervision? Encourage them to do it themselves. You can't protect them forever.
#4-Would you let a 15 year old date unsupervised? Absolutely. At 15 they are well into the phase of their lifespan where gaining their independence is crucial. Not trusting them at this stage will inevitably lead to their not trusting you. You don't raise teenagers, you live with them.
#5-What age would you stop spanking at? Stop? You should never start. Psychologists all agree that spanking can only lead to mistrust and violent behaviour later in life.
#6- Would you let your 15 year old kid walk home from school/to school without you or even without his friends? Of course. And I wouldn't refer to them as a kid, they are a young adult. Referring to them as kids during the teen years conveys to them that you don't believe that they can look after themselves, which in turn leads them to feel as though they have to prove themselves both for their own sake and yours,and this can lead to their distancing themselves for you.
#7-would you allow your 14 year old son to have a computer with internet in his own room? Of course, by that age they should be well-prepared and well-informed enough to properly regulate themselves and know not to blindly believe everything you read.
#8-What age would you feel comfortable leaving your child home alone overnight? Comfortable? Maybe 15, but it depends on them really.
#9-What age would you let your child go to a friend's house without you meeting their parents first? 13. Trust is a two-way system.
#10- Would you trust your 13 year old daughter/son with matches or a lighter? Of course.
